Ed Baker’s love of all things electric and boating makes marine electrics a good fit. After growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area and moving to Utah, he spent many summers on the lakes. In the winter, he served on the National Ski Patrol in Park City, Utah, and as a guide for Diamond Peaks Heliski Adventures. He moved from the mountains to the sea in 2014, serving as Captain/Engineer on an 80-foot catamaran in Florida for 3 years.
Ed and his partner, Jeanie, lived aboard their 1985 S2 11C in the San Francisco Bay Area for 6 years, then sailed down the Pacific Coast to Ventura in 2022. They recently purchased a 2000 Beneteau Oceanis 411 to refit in the Chesapeake Bay, be closer to family, and sail the East Coast and Caribbean. They have a delightful boat dog, Lily, who has final approval over all the refit projects.

"We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch it, we are going back from whence we came"
– John F. Kennedy, 1962 America's Cup Dinner
